Prompt: Do you like what you're reading? Why or why not?

"They sat silently for a moment. She wished he would put his arms around her. She wished he would disappear." This part of the story really jumps out at me. Not only does it show how a teenage girl is in an awkward situation with a guy, but her feelings are expressed so vividly in a few words. I think a lot of people, girl or boy, can relate to feeling like Deal. They really love that person, but at the same time, they hate them and wish they weren't in that situation. These few sentences from the book not only show the relation readers can have with the book, but also how the details are very detailed with just a few words.
Deal With a Ghost is also a book that I am enjoying very much because a lot of the chapters leave you with hooks, so if you finish a chapter you want to keep on reading on to see what happens. In the book, a lot of the chapters end with an unfinished conflict. I personally like when a book leaves me hanging because it makes me want to predict what will happen and read on. Now that I have finished my book, I would recommend for everyone to read. It really is a book you won't want to put down.
Does the ghost really look like the one in the pic above? What is the situation that the girl and boy are in?
ReplyDeleteThe ghost is a women that died in Deal's school years before. The picture in my blog is just a representation of the real women ghost in the story.
DeleteI really liked how you didn't really give much away from the book, but still put a quote and saying how you really enjoyed that part of the book. I can see why you really liked it because it makes you ponder for a moment. By reading the quote, I would probably keep this book in mind to read in the future.
