Prompt: Draw what you just read.
In my drawing I also showed when Jonas could hear the music of Elsewhere. For me, Jonas hearing Elsewhere was a big plot twist because of how the story was going, I thought that Jonas would never find Elsewhere. I drew Jonas's face both surprised and sad to represent both elements I tried to put in; when he is trying to save Gabriel, and when he hears the music of Elsewhere. I heard many of my classmates say that they thought that hearing the music was just Jonas's imagination, I honestly have no clue as to if it is real or not. To me, I think that it is partially his imagination, telling him that there is hope, and I also feel like the hope is telling him to keep on moving forward because Elsewhere is actually ahead.

ReplyDeleteI really like the fact that you choose that specific part in the book to draw. I feel that that part in book contains a lot of emotion in a way that is very hard to replicate. I also have to agree with the fact that hearing the music was a fantastic twist in the story.

ReplyDeleteI really loved this part of the book, too. It was at this part of the book when I realized how much Jonas really loved Gabe. Jonas finding Elsewhere was super big in the story! To be honest I thought people were going to find him before he could get that far. Great drawing and blog!
