I think most of the characters in my book are realistic and could exist in the real world. The top three would probably be Tina, Laurie, and Deal. Tina is an average popular girl at school. She can and already is a real person. She is just like all of the pretty, and popular girls in school. Tina has blonde hair, and tries her best in school. She is in chorus and is always around her boyfriend, Mark. Tina might be popular and everyone thinks they know her, but she keeps a lot inside. She acts rude to other people so her friends will approve of her, but she really doesn't like it. Tina could be real because there are a lot of girls and boys that do things only for the approval of others, to fit in, but they don't approve themselves.
Laurie, is also another very realistic character. Laurie is a boy who is in love with Deal, but knows he has no chance with her. Laurie is a very shy boy with a big voice. He lets out all of his feeling while singing, and no one knows about his voice except his music teacher and Deal. Laurie is very insecure and shy, he tries to fit in with the rest of the boys but just can't. I would say Laurie is very realistic because there are so many people that are shy, that try to fit in but don't.
Finally, Deal is a very realistic girl. Deal is a girl with confidence, determination. Deal can come out as a very social person but deep inside she judges everyone. She tries to stay positive but she has gone through so many bad things in her life, she just doesn't trust anyone. Deal is a very relatable character because everyone may seem nice and confident when you meet them but once you get to know them, they might not be what you expected. A lot of people can also relate to having something happen int hat past that changes how you look at people now.
I like how you gave you're opinions about you're characters. I like how in-depth and how opinionated that was. I think I might give this book a try.
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds really good. I'm already liking the character Laurie! Tina reminds me of a character named, Kay- Kay who is also blond and popular. Kay-Kay sometimes can be rude , but doesn't like to be rude because she know it's terrible. Kay-Kay also keeps a lot inside, too. I can completely see how your characters can be real!
