He mouthed to her, "My fate is in your hands" Without the slightest hesitation, he went to the door on the right, and opened it. Everyone was still and silent. You could hear a pin drop. The princess's face was pale, with no expression, knowing what was bound to happen. She was about to witness her love either be teared apart, or have a life with another women. Suddenly, the princess starts to run down the steps of the colosseum, I have to do something. Anything. she thought to herself. The guards came running, pulling the princess away before she could reach her love. She cried in fear, "Just one last word." demanded the princess. The guards looked up to the king and he shook his head. The door opened slowly, causing tension to grow with ever inch the door opened. Out jumped the massive, ferocious, and starving tiger! The tiger ripped the Youth apart, every bone in his body breaking into two. You could had screams of horror, not only from the Youth, but from the audience too. The Youth was calling out for help, but he knew no one would come to his rescue. His end was near, and he knew it. So for the last time he looked to his side, at the princess, his one and only love. They looked at each other, a tear falling from the right eye of the princess. The memories together flowing through her mind. Maybe a life with another women would have been better she thought. But she couldn't change anything now. She was too late.
The screams of the Youth died down, but the sobbing didn't. The princess ran down, her eyes were burning red from crying so hard, her throat ached from calling for help, her heart broken because the one and only love of her life was gone. She was broken, no one comforting her. The days after, she didn't want to get out of bed, she would barely eat. Everything in her life seemed dark. She would never be happy ever again.
I really love how you've described your ending it was splendid. Although their wasn't much creativity in this tale, you made up what you were missing with more you are good at. Props to you, Citlalli.
ReplyDeleteSo basically she dies with out a love. Great detail very gloomy ending though.
ReplyDeleteI love how you made the 'love' in the story be so alive. You could really tell the connection with him and the princess. Good job, Citlalli!
ReplyDeleteI don’t really like happy endings. This means your story gave me exactly what I wanted, gloominess, depressing feeling, and a tinge of regret.
ReplyDeleteCitlalli,
ReplyDeleteI like the way your ending isn't happy, I feel that for a storie like this, it is the only way fitting the way the author would have written it.
