Pitch-black apartment
the stronger, the higher he went
His eyes watered
His nose and throat began to burn
He was on the roof
The stars gleamed
The night air was cold
He made a squealing sound at forty feet
Ever since I started reading my page, I knew I wanted to do something sad, and dark. This poem really means a lot to me because I know a few people that have told me that they feel like how it is described in the poem. The picture in the background; I tried to make it messy to represent the boy's life. I also colored over the stars in blue to represent how he was once a bight person, but now he is overcome with darkness. The clouds are so close to the building to represent how tall the building was, but also to show what he will feel after he falls. The black at the bottom is meant to represent the dark hole that has sucked his life away. In the apartment building, there is only one light on because it is the boy, fighting to stay alive, but surely in the end, will not.
