The Lost Hero - October 23

Prompt - Predict what will happen next.

This novel has to be one of my favorites so far because it reminds so much of The Percy Jackson series, which I haven't read in about three years. So far, a lot has happened; tragic and some all-right things. One of the most drastic events was when three "friends" found out that they were actually demi-gods. Jason, Piper, and Leo are all on a school field trip, when out of no where storm spirits come out of the sky and things get even crazier form there. They are taken to Camp Half-Blood where they get the tour and try to cope with everything. So far, only Leo has been claimed, meaning his God-parent has shown that this is his son. About the claiming, I think that Piper is going to be second to be claimed, and somewhere where she would never expect, like the Apollo camp. I predict that Jason will be one of the mighty three's son, and his claiming will take a long time causing anxiety throughout the camp. I think this because in the beginning of the story, Jason didn't even remember who he was, which means something does not want him to know something.

Another issue that has been hinted since the beginning of the story is that Annabeth is really worried because Percy is missing. She was pretty frustrated with the three new campers in the first place because she had a dream that when she found someone named Jason, he would hold the answers as to where Percy was. But when she talked to Jason, he knew nothing. I'm pretty sure that Annabeth is going to go on a huge quest to find him with the help of Piper, Jason, and Leo. It might be a long shot, but I think that Hades will be the one keeping him captive because he is dangerously intelligent, and has always held a grudge against Percy. On the other hand though, who ever has Percy, might only want to harm Annabeth, so I'm not sure about that.

Leo has been claimed by his father, Hephaestus, the God of fire and blacksmith. This is both good and bad, because being in his for the first time reminded him of his mother and he really felt as home. I think that that was the first time Leo felt at ease since the field trip. But as soon as he starts to feel this way, his camp counselor tells him about the curse that the whole cabin his, and more specifically, the bed Leo has gotten. One of the old leaders, died during battle and now people say that he has a curse on the cabin, where everything they build is a failure and basically everything they try to do is interrupted. And Leo has to sleep in his bed. I predict that Leo will have the worst luck out of all of his other brethren. He might even destroy the entire cabin!

  1. Does this series connect with the Percy Jackson book series? Are in any of the character like Grover in the book? I agree with prediction about Leo he might have bad luck because of his father's background. I remember that Hephaestus didn't have a leg and lived alone being blacksmith. I extremely like you predictions because they are very descriptive and exciting. Great Blog Post.
