I think I would be great friends with the main character because she is very outgoing and it seems like she is always in her own world. Ida B is a regular girl, hates having homework, takes so much time to get ready, but she has something very special abut her. She can talk to her surrounding, like the trees. She will talk to the trees and they will respond right back. I find this really interesting in the book because I don't know if she is imagining this, or if the trees really do talk back to her. Ida seems like a really fun person to talk to, she makes a lot of jokes and likes to fool around, but at the same time she can be silent and calm.

Ida B is also a very curious. She is a home-schooled girl, and asks so many questions. For example, when her mother is teacher her math and she asks," If I give you $20, to go to the store and buy flour.." Ida B interrupts with, "Which store?" Ida B likes to have plans ready for everything she does, that is why she always asks questions, to get the full information so she can be ready for everything coming towards her.
Ida B would also be a really good friend because she is an amazing listener. While reading the story I could tell the Ida B listens to everyone, no matter their problem. Ida B and her father go and walk around sometimes and just talk, she always makes sure that her dad knows that she is there to listen. She even has a few tips of advice so that people know that you are listening to them; make sure you stop, don't do anything else but listen, and look at them in the eyes. Ida B would be a really amazing friend to have because she is very different than usual girls her age.
I like how you ADMITTED in the first paragraph that typical girls "Hates having homework and takes so much time to get ready." Gives me a better insight on what girls really are.. I'm sorry if that offended you, it was a joke, a joke. Well on the serious note I like how you really described who the main character is, gives us a little sneak peek of what the book is going to be like.
ReplyDeleteI have seen you reading this book. This looks really good from how yo summarize it.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Ida B is a very unique girl because she is different from many girls. I was surprised that she was home schooled, since it sounds like she has an outgoing personality and isn't shy. I, myself would like to be her friend to because to me I probably would have a good time with her. I think it's a very good characteristic that she asks questions to get full information because then she knows exactly what she is doing. Well, have fun reading the rest of the book!
ReplyDeleteI commented on Elenia, Nadrian and Steven's blogs.
ReplyDeleteThis book seems every interesting. It kinda reminds me of the movie "Timothy Green". I find Ida B to be a very unique girl with a unique personality just based off on what you said. I love how you put an example about how curious Ida B is.
ReplyDeleteCitlalli,
ReplyDeleteI loved your blog this week! You did a great job describing the main character, and why you would be great friends with her! The main character in your book, seems a lot like two characters in other books I've read combined! Pippi Longstocking, from Pippi Longstocking, and Aubrey, from Love, Aubrey. I say this because Aubrey can be calm and collected, though seems to ask a lot of questions, and she will definitely listen closely to you, and try to be a good friend. Pippi, is pretty crazy, and very outgoing. She also asks lots of questions, and is great friend. So, I think if I put these two characters together, I would get a person similar to the girl in your story! Overall, great blog this week!
